Well, to condivide w9x,NT and linux on the same HD simply
make an installation of w9x and NT that can convive toghether,
leaving some space for linux as free space on HD.
Then when resolved this, proceed with linux installation
and make lilo on floppy and not on HD. linux can be booted everywhere

That's the simplest way.
If you have two disks, i suggest you to install w9x on the first and
nt on the second,
then intall linux on second partition of disk1, so you can boot lilo
on the first HD with the choice between w9x, linux.
Add in lilo.conf a nt label to
boot from the MBR of the second HD after lilo in the MBR in the first HD,
so that the second HD becomes the primary master.
And all works perfectly, with no need of floppy boot.

Simple add a label where
switch between HDs

other=/dev/hdb
        label=nt
        disk-map=80x0
                to 80x1
        disk-map=80x1
                to 80x0
(not exact syntax, see man lilo.conf)

(that will make read the MBR from the second HD)

Ciao.
