Hiy'all,

Well, I'm about ready to go. Still haven't had time to get mail working or
even work on it, so why do I need yet another project, right? Well, I have
one anyway. I'm getting cable modem access, so I went out and got a
networking kit (so I can put two computers on the connection). The
particular kit I got includes two D-Link 528 NIC's (that's what Win95 says
they are, anyway) and a 5-port hub. I actually have everything installed
under Win95, and it all works. No cable yet, that happens Friday.

So here's the *real* question. I got these cards because I remember
thinking that yes, they're supported by Linux. I appear to be correct, as
the installation disk has a "Linux" directory. The instructions seem to be
a little, well, dated, since they refer to kernel 1.2.13. Should I then,
with my 2.0.35 (or if I upgrade to Slackware 4.0 with the 2.2.X kernel, or
RH6 or SUSE6, with similar 2.2 kernel) install what's on the installation
disk, or does anyone know if these drivers were included on these newer
distributions and I can install directly from that?

Thanks.

Oh, and one more, while I'm here....anyone know of a command-line (non-X)
RealAudio player?

Buddy
