hello,
i went to afterstep.org, and they said i could have the hacked version
of afterstep instead of the full version, since some of the files they
mention are not on my system...i am curious to find out how to tell if i
have the real thing or not? it looks like most of the snap shots of
others i see online. the reason i visited there site was a problem with
my startmenu, which the page addressed and i followed it and it did not
fix my problem.

problem-trying to get dir on my menu instead of the defualt ones.
i made a file under wmconfig like follows
xforms name "xforms"
xforms description "A Window Form Maker"
xforms exec "/download/forms/xforms/DESIGN/./fdesign"
xforms group Programming

this puts xforms on the start menu, but by itself not in a group.
so i put a group in ~/AfterStep/start/Programming/
and update the menu and all is well..
i restart AfterStep"if it is really AfterStep" and it put xforms on the
main menu again.
thanks
stephen..
