open midifiles

helloooo...
   maybe i am just a foolish window$-used linux newbie, or lets say 
very probably, 'cause a friend sent a email to me yesterday wich 
contained two midisongs, and i wanted to open it, just as i was used 
in micro$oft-programs, but i had the only option to "open with..." 
(in KDE) and i really dont know wich soundfeatures suse6.1 has got.
somebody can tell me how i can listen to theese two songs?
