Just a short note to thank everybody for their help...I got the cdrom link
done right now, so I can mount the fast CD without having to try and
remember what /dev/* is the one I want :)
Also, the mouse got fixed :) Seems like somewhere in the install process
I mis-selected the mouse for the console (in X the config was correct), and
gpm was running on boot (never saw the damn thing in the ps list :) and
when I was doing my 'run gpm, kill gpm, startx' dance, it was getting the
right config....I ended up deciding that I don't need a mouse in console,
so I killed it the boot config and now it's working nice in X :)
