Hmm...Ok. Get to a bash prompt and, as root, type "setup" and go into the
"system services" and see if Sendmail is started. Also, silly question, but
have you tried the same settings that you're using in Kmail?
Funny you should mention ginster.net....doing a "whois" on ginko.net
(appears to be registered as both ginko.net and ginko.de) shows the dns
server for ginko.net/ginko.de as ginster.net and ginster.de.
Ok....just tried talking to your mail server.... (cute trick I learned
working for an ISP: "telnet <servername> 25" tells you whether or not it's
actually working <G>)
Try this in netscape -- when it asks for the mail server name give it the ip
address 212.202.73.3 See if that works. If so, we've narrowed it down to
some sort of DNS problem. If not, I'm not sure what the next step would
be..... anyone else in the group have any ideas????
