On another pop3-related note...
I must hae missed this tiny point in the back and forth on setting up one's
linux machine to receive mail from a pop3 Email box (and also sending it
out), but here goes nothin. I *think* I got fetchmail set up to receive
Email using that script, which didn't work quite exactly right on my Slack
CD, I don't think. But at any rate, it appears to actually receive Email
every so often. I guess I can get it to not display the first few lines of
the message (messing up my screen!) by running it with the --silent switch,
right? That's what the man says, I think, but I'm still (after one linux
system I've actually gotten to use, plus about 7 years with a Unix shell
account) mastering the fine art of reading man pages.
But the question I *intended* to ask was this. How can I get my from: (or
reply-to) line set correctly, so it's putting my correct address in
([EMAIL PROTECTED]), rather than a fake address on an unofficial machine
name (I named my computer..ralph...and there's no such thing as
ralph.airmail.net)? I'm no doubt overlooking something simple.
