Of course. Edit whatever file bash uses as an initialization file (I
think RedHat changes this, but they will have changed the manpage as
well, so man bash should tell you in the FILES piece where it is) and
change the \W to a \w in the line
PS1='\h:\W\$'
logout and login again. Or just enter PS1='\h:\w\$' and watch what
happens, but that way you have to enter it each time you want it.
