Which version?

I'm attempting to install a new version of X11Amp/xmms, but the rpm says it
needs certain versions of glib and gtk+. I've figured out how to tell which
versions I have, now where does one go to get the newer versions and are they
available as RPMs? I really HATE "rolling my own." ;-)
