You won't find any drivers in /dev.  That's not where they live.  At a
guess, the driver for the Sound Blaster CD lives in
/lib/modules/2.0.18/cdrom/sbpcd.o, though that's taken from the remains
of a slackware 3.4 system (2.0.30), so things might have moved.
You might try if
find /lib/modules -name sbpcd.o
can find it.  I don't think module names vary by distro.

If you have the kernel source, there is a great deal of doco in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/cdrom/sbpcd that will tell you all you need
to know.  If you don't, install it.  It's really pretty neat. :-)
