Hello everyone.
I have been using KDE (1.1.1-1) with XFree86 (3.3.3.1-52). I recently
installed my first theme from kde.themes.org. When I restarted X, it
crashed. After I removed all the applications from "Autostart", KDE loads
properly and uses the new theme I installed, but as soon as I run an
application of any kind, it crashes.
It gives me the error "PID could not get read" 7 or 8 times before it
crashes. Other than that, the initialization messages seem to be normal, and
more or less the same as they have been for the 1-2 months I have been
running KDE happily.
It seems that the problem is related to the new theme (which is the Bryce
1.1 theme, if you're interested). I am unsure how to "uninstall" this
theme - can someone tell me how?
I would prefer to keep the theme, but if that is the only way...
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks in advance,
Sean Conway
P.S. I am running RH 6.0, with the 2.2.10 kernel, with a Rage Pro Turbo
graphics card using the Mach64 server. I have 8 MB of video memory, and run
at the resolution of 1024 x 768 x 16 bit. Thanks again.
