Nope. Never had this problem, either with Eudora on Win95 or with pine on
Linux. Reply correctly goes to the "From:" header, and reply-to-all
correctly goes to the From: and To: headers only. Sounds like your mail
client may be non-compliant. I don't think anyone from Rutgers is trying to
feed you anything unsavory.

I might note that Kmail apparently also does a poor job of selecting where
to break lines as well, as the awkwardly-formatted state of your original
message below illustrates.
