Hi,
I tried installing glint from the 5.2 dist. but it doesn't seem to work...
I installed the glint rpm and it installed without any errors. But when I go
to a terminal and type glint,
it returns to the prompt after 2 secs. . Glint doesn't start and I see no
error msgs.
???
Also maybe I'm not using the gnorpm right, but I couldn't find a way to see
all uninstalled packages (on a CD) categorized as
I could in glint. What am I missing? If I need to specify the .rpm file
itself, why should I bother with gnorpm;
I can right-click on the rpm in the file-manager itself..

It's not there. In their infinite wisdom, Redhat thought that the beta
version
of gnorpm was good enough to replace the tried and true glint.
I believe that you can install glint from your old 5.2 distro.
