You booted the kernel successfully.  Then, because it was set up to
mount /dev/hda2 as /, that's what it tried to do.  You don't have a
/dev/hda2 in this configuration.  Probably, at the boot: prompt, you can
enter <image name> root=/dev/hdc2

boot: linux root=/dev/hdc2

Probably, you used linux for the name, right?  If all you've done is
shift what was primary master to secondary master, just telling it to
look for / where it is instead of where it used to be will get you
going.  Then fix your /etc/lilo.conf to correspond with how the system
is now set up, and rerun lilo.

You could also use the rescue option of your install floppy to get your
system going and fix lilo.conf, but I think just the extra boot:
parameter should do it.
