As mentioned by David Krings, this CDROM needs a interface-card, it's not an
IDE- or SCSI-cdrom, and it needs sbpcd-support in the kernel or as module.
Perhaps you can hook it up to your soundcard, but I doubt that, take a look
at the textfile /usr/src/linux/Documentation/cdrom/sbpcd for further
reading.
