Yes, it is possible. You do it with NFS (= Network File System, I think).
The remote machine needs to be running the NFS daemons (rpc.portmap,
rpc.nfsd, and rpc.mountd) and to have made the filesystem (or directory) you
want to remote mount available for export (in /etc/exports). Then you simply
use the "mount" command to mount the remote filesystem (or directory) to a
convenient mount point.

The details are in a HowTo, I believe, and the appropriate man pages.
