Sandhya,
While I am no expert on procmail (I've dabbled a little), it seems
to me that bouncing a mail is a function of the MTA (sendmail, exim,
qmail, whatever your site uses) rather than that of the MDA. Indeed, a
reading of the procmail and the procmailrc manpages indicates that a
bounce of the mail would take place only when procmail itself fails.
The much better alternative is to set up a recipe to redirect mail
satisfying whatever criterion you want to apply to a "junk" folder. Just
clean out the folder once in a bluemoon. I say this is a better option
only in the sense that it is easier than trying to reconfigure a mail
server.
Regards,
Kenneth
