I've never used Slackware so maybe this isn't appropriate but is there a rpm
for Pine somewhere that you could use? I downloaded the rpm for Pine
(pine-4.10-1.i386.rpm) from Caldera's ftp site a couple of days ago and it
installed flawlessly on my Calder OpenLinux 2.2 system.
