I seem to remember a riser card simm adapter that clipped into the older
simm slots and let you insert newer simms into the riser card attachment.
I think kingston or some such other memory maker was offering these.  I
had looked at it as a possibility before just opting to wait and buy a new
MB.  BTW, the TYAN S1590S is a nice MB and pretty inexpensive as well,
I've had one running with an AMD k6-2350 and it runs great with linux.

I did a search on "memory adapter board*" in ALtavista and came up with a
company that offers something called the Simmulator.  the url is:
