Wow, I haven't seen this question come up for months.
In lilo.conf, add the line:
append="mem=128M"
right after the line that says something like "image=vmlinux"
Or get a newer kernel - the "over 64M" bug was fixed late in the 2.0.x
series and is fine on 2.2.x.
