Tere are several ways. The one I know and use is LILO (LInux LOader), which
will boot Linux or can be set to let you choose among operating systems.
There's a man page ("man lilo") and a LILO HowTo to get you started.

Other options are SYSLINUX and loadlin.exe, but I don't have experience with
them.
