There are programs called zip and unzip which are compataible with
pkzip, pkunzip and winzip for the dos/win32 platforms. They *may* have
an obsecure option somewhere in there for this.
Your best bet though is a dos emulator for linux called dosemu, which
would allow you to run this program "under" dos "under" while running
linux so that
it could self-extract itself onto the linux drive while under linux.
