Surly you can use your rescue or boot disk which you were advised to make
during the install process.

For a rescue disk you would need to insert the disk start the computer
and at the prompt type;

mount root=/dev/xxx ro

Where xxx is the partition on the scsi disk where the root filesystem is
located.

If you dont have a disk you can always make one from the distribution
source. For example with Redhat's cdrom, rescue.img is located in the
images directory.

If you only have a dos system then use rawrite.exe located in the dosutils
directory to copy the file to a floppy, there is a README in the dosutils
dir also.

Slackware has a different directory structure on the cdrom, however the
basic's are the same.
