You must have used PQMagic before installing RH 5.2 ..... RH 5.2 runs OK.
Sounds close to perfect.

Are you 'upgrading' or 'installing' ?
If you are upgrading you dont need DDruid/FDisk...... (you already have
 your partitions).
So you must be 'installing' .... in either case you can solve the problem(s)
 with FDisk (Linux).

Who reports the error? FDisk?
Redo the partitions with fdisk-linux. After that the partitions must be good
if your harddisk has no physical defects.

I have 'repartitioned' a 'dead' harddisk with it's 9 (5 dos, 4 linux)
partitions without losing data. fdisk-linux will let you do that.
(Fdisk-msdos will destroy everything. PQMagic the same AFAIK.)
With 'dead' harddisk I mean: PQMagic, WINxx, Linux, linux-fdisk could not
see a partition at all, or only 1 or 2, like drive C: and next one, at best.
Looked like the partition-table had been over-written.
I 'open' the partitions with fdisk-linux to gain access. I partition exactly
the same way as was done the first time, same start/end cyls for each
partition. Incl setting the filesystem where needed. (I use only FAT16 for
 dos).
I have a rescue diskette with the partition-table on it. I can play that data
 back-in after 'opening' the partitions.
My first rescue was without this rescue disk. A rescue-disk (Norton Disktool)
 makes life easier though.

If problems persists I would redo the partition with fdisk-linux. First get
it's present startcyl/endcylinder with fdisk-linux. Delete the partition.
Make a new partition with the same start/end cyl.
OTOH errors reported by partition programs are sometimes to be taken with a
grain of salt. I have redone partitions and still got one or the other
partitioning pgm to complain, especially PQMagic.
Sometimes it is about small portions of the harddisk not being used.
My PQMagic does report very bad errors on the first partition (=drive C:).
If true, my system would not startup. It looks like an arithmetic bug
(first sector number of partition higher than last sector number, higher
than the total number of sectors on my harddisk)
Because of that 'error' PQMagic refuses to write to my harddisk. Am I glad I
 have fdisk-linux.

Seeing Linux in front, coconut-trees, the sea,
next island, when looking out the Window.
