I installed a SusE 6.1 version.on a DELL OptiPlex Gn+ (586 machine).
It seems, that Yast did not recgonize the Ethernet Card having been
installed as standard by Dell.

Under Red Hat 6.0, I had no problems with that.

Now I had to dig in the machine to find out, what kind of card they
installed.

I read: S3 Trio64V2/GX

During the installtion, I entered a 3Com card; 3c515....but this is not
working.

I am getting:

insmod /lib/modules/2..2.7/net/3c515.o: insmod failed.

eth0 unknown interface: operation not supported by device.

Now on the scrolling list, S3 Trio64V2/GX is not mentioned.

Is there a possibilty to enter a default card ?

Regards
