linux server/telnet

Hi,

        I have installed red hat linux 6.0 on my comp and originally it was
setup so that it was listening for a telnet connection on port 23.  However I
don't know what I did but it no longer listens on port 23 for telnet
connections.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  My thanks in advance.
