I went to instell Hylafax on a RH6.0, but ran into difficulties. A very elementary question. The Hylafax documentation distinguishes fax client and fax server in the context of a network, but not of a stand-alone workstation. I assume that such a workstation must be set up as both client and as server to send and receive faxes, but I'd appreciate confirmation. Hylafax documentation says to use /dev/ttyf2. There's none on my RH6.0 installation. Perhaps I could use mknod -c n n to have the kernel create such a device, but I'd need to know n and n (Major and Minor device num- bers). I presume the device type is character (c). Any one know the major and minor numbers, or, perhaps better, where one can find out (Linux tech support was no help here). Or can one use a different device? Haines Brown
