Boot-problem

I have RH6.0 and have a litle problem. When i start my computer everything boots as normal, the window manager starts automaticly. But when i write in username and password, if i try to login as root the monitor flashes and i get back to the same dialog again, if i login as any other user there's no problem, kde starts. Thanks for all the help i have received allredy!
