My Linux stopped working with Kernel panic:

Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:42
I rebooted with cntl-alt-del.
Lilo is on hdb2 (my /root partition)
This is my autoexec.bat on a:\
-------
Loadlin vmlinuz root=/dev/hdb2 ro

This is my Directory of A:\

VMLINUZ 446,281 11-26-97 4:22p VMLINUZ

AUTOEXEC BAT 233 08-31-99 9:10a AUTOEXEC.BAT

I wonder where is the culprit.
It has happened before, few weeks back.
Not identical to this, but ending in Kernel panic.
I checked my partitions with FDISK. All partitions are there. All DOS
is FAT16 (there's no FAT12 nor FAT32). All partitions looked normal
under FDISK-DOS.
My Linux partitions are:
hdb2 / 100+MB
hda7 /usr/local 256MB
hda8 /usr 1000MB
hda9 /home 256MB
hda10 swap 64MB
Memory 64MB. Pentium 2 - 160MHz.
Running RH5.0 default install.
There were no problems on exit. I had been reading docs.
I will have to re-install to get going.....
