At the LILO prompt, type "linux 1" and that should put you into
"single-user" mode where you can change the password again, then
reboot. :-)

Hmm...sounds like RLL or MFM, both of which were "old" about 10 years
ago... I'd ditch 'em. Do you have any sort of model number and
manufacturer? Maybe you could look it up that way and find out
EXACTLY what it is?

Easy...re-run /usr/X11R6/XF86Setup or just type "setup" from the main
"root" prompt and choose video setup. :-)
