Hi!

I'm just curious if anyone knows the ranges of the various data types on
the x86 (and perhaps other) Linux environment using the GNU C compiler
(gcc & egcs, if there's even a difference)... mainly interested in:

range of: int, double, long, float, and any combos of them.

I noticed on the gcc man page there were flags to assume various
standards, such as IEEE and whatnot... if so, where can one find
information on IEEE's ranges for various variable data types in C? And
what does gcc assume by default?

Thanks for your time.

p.s. I'm not subscribed to the list, so please Cc: me any replies.
