I've been trying to unpack a file using the following:
tar xvfz file.name.tgz
It fails with the message "incomplete distance tree"
I've downloaded the file a couple times so I don't think the file has been
corrupted. I've successfully used tar this way on other files. I have
version 1.12 of GNU tar and am running SuSE linux 6.1. Am I somehow using tar
wrong or is there a problem with the file? Thanks in advance. Any advice is
greatly appreciated.
