+ the fact you have learned more in that exercise than anyone who
uses GUI programs with a simple click and go approcach. These days
the public wants GUI just like widows is, but when all one does is
click a mouse and expect the software to do the rest funny things
happen. Working on ones system changing files with a normal editor in
text mode is the best way to learn how linux works.
I have been using Linux for years, i've only just started using X all
the time, i still often switch back to a console to do a lot of
things, but then again i'm stubburn and stuck in my ways and i
suppose some would say live in the past. But at least i know HOW
linux works.
