[EMAIL PROTECTED], Is there a way to deny the use of the higher ports on the system to normal users. I have a normal account and also root, if my normal user tries to run a mud or irc server on port 33, it gives an error, but the normal user can run it on port 6666 for example, and the system doesn't complain. The problem I see here is users running muds / irc / ftp daemons in their spare time that could be abused, or be used to cause abuse to the rest of the network/internet in general. Anyone to disable this, so that only root can run daemons on those ports? Jack
