Sendmail does not deliver mail to a pop3 client or server, it sends
mail to the recipriant or if defined in /etc/sendmail.cf a Smart relay
host.
Now if you only want sendmail runing when you are connected to your
isp i suggest starting sendmail at the bottom of the ppp-on script
with something like;
sendmail -bd -q5m
to stop it add a line at the top of the ppp-off script
killall sendmail
There are more suttel ways but thats an easy way as i see it for
someone who knows little of how linux works.
