If the H/D is placed in both machines as the same device, what i mean
there is for example master disk on primary ide then quite possable
your amd k6 is has an overclocked cpu.
If it boots on one macine then it should boot on the other,
considering it boots then we can safely say that LILO is installed
properly, so using a floppy disk to boot might not help at all, but
you could try.
Another thing to check is that your Bios is assiging the disk with
the same cyls heads etc, on both machines, having said that, if that
were the case i doubt if lilo would have gotten so far on the K6.
Indeed a strange problem.
