I am more experienced at using OS/2 Warp, but a novice to the Linux
world. I would appreciate recommendations and comments on the following
applications:
1) A Binary Newsreader/decoder
2) An ICQ client (I don't have Java for Linux yet, so I will have to go with a native
application, until I get / install java ).
3) A QWK mail (BBS mailer) utility.
4) A SETI@HOME front-end. ( and if possible some assistance on
sharing WU's between two oses: OS/2 Warp and Linux).
5) ... but not least: what is the current and *stable* version of JAVA for Linux.
I have no fear of trying beta code in OS/2, but my relative inexperience
with Linux prohibits me from being as adventurous...
