i am attempting to run a dual boot linux/win98 system. i have a 14.4 gig
hdd, which has win98 installed on it. i resized the partitions
(partition magic) into a 10 gig partition (win) and 4.4 gigs of free
space which i would assign with disk druid. the only problem is that
when i am in disk druid, it says "boot partition is too big" even though
i make the /boot mount much less than 16 megs. ive tried every size
between 1-16 megs, none work. (this is on redhat 6.1, btw). could the
problem be that the free space is not below the 1023 cylinder and thusly
it will not boot? or am i completely off?
any help would be appreciated.
thank you,
geoff
