I recently obtained an ACER AW230 PCI sound card. The chip is made by
Crystal Semiconductor (CS4280). Though I have no trouble installing it in OS/2, it
isn't recognized in Linux. Of course, the box mentions it is supported in Windows**
(*please NOTE my sig. below*!).

Would someone kindly guide me on how I can install sound support for this
card in Mandrake-Linux "Venus" (Red Hat 6.0)?

I see another Crystal chip listed when I run sndconfig. but of course it's
not the correct one.

        Thanks in advance.

I use IBM's OS/2 WARP 4.0 & Red Hat Linux 6.0: I do NOT use Microsoft products.
