Oh mighty gurus of our favorite OS :)--

I have downloaded xfstt 0.9.99 and have installed it according to the
directions included. However, the routine broke down when I tried to
run xfstt --sync as mentioned therein. When I get to that point, it
comes back with an error saying that it couldn't write to the font
database. I even tried logging in as root, but got the same error.
I have created a directory in which I linked to all the truetype fonts
on my windows drive, executed mkfontdir, etc...

My system:

RedHat 6.0 2.2.5-15 kernel
Linux on /dev/hda (4.3GB)
Windows on /dev/hdb (8.4 GB)
etc...

Any clues on what is causing this??

Mike
