Send mail has been broken by my changing my local hostname when I set up
a local LAN. It worked OK with an address: [EMAIL PROTECTED], but when
I created a local host name, it fails to recognize userID@machineName.
address.com. On many mail messages I get:

        >>>MAIL From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>...Sender
        domain must exist.

Someone suggested using linuxconf to set up a sendmail alias, but I'm
baffled by it and need help. I go to linuxconf Mail delivery system
(sendmail)->user aliases->Add. In the "alias name" field I enter:
"@machineName.address.com" (without quotes). But that does not correct
the problem.

Specific help would be appreciated, or better, how to edit /etc/sendmail.cf
by hand.
