I not only haven't succeeded in starting a new Base file under Linux, I haven't even
been able to get it to open an existing .dbf file in Base. It always picks the
spreadsheet, and there seems no way to overrule it.
I posted a question on the starbase newsgroup on the sun server, and got no answer. In
fact, in the two weeks I have been supscribed to four Staroffice newsgroups, I
have seen a total of three messages, one of them mine.
I am puzzled. Maybe StarOffice is so transparent that zillions of people, all smarter
than I, can use it with no docs and never need to ask a question?
