As for kfm, it did not behave exactly what I expect, so I was a bit
confused at first, because the first instance is the Desktop itself,
which just added a few icons on the current Desktop, and then nothing...
Once I realized that, it was green light.
As for X security. If I understand the setup correctly, it allows
clients in the same domain to use the X server.
As for the difference between X servers and clients; Although I am very
green on Linux and Unix for that matter, I studied some 12 years ago the
possibility of using X in Process Control networks, where the devices
( X clients) presented themselves on X terminals. (The project required
too much memory at that time to be feasible, and today we are doing the
same using Java.)
And I now only need the NFS in place to have reasonable computer
network. But I think I can figure that out myself, when the time is
right (like today...)
