Thanks for the word "filament".
You have to work on it with the power on and the box opened. There is no
other way to measure the electric tension.
I allready did this succesfully on a monitor IBM 8515. The reason was
that people from IBM told me that repairing cost more than buying a new
monitor.
As a matter of fact I began using Linux after I touched a little the
30000Volts.
