Sure.
You want to use gcc, the compiler that comes with linux.
You'll want to do something along the lines of
gcc -c sourcefile.c
provided a bunch of error messages don't show up, you should
have a file in the directory called sourcefile.o
At this point you should be able to type
insmod sourcefile.o
and it should work. I'm not sure where modules belong in redhat
so that the system can find them. someone else will have to help
there.
If your run into real problems compiling it
send me a copy of the source file(provided it's not miles long)
and I'll figure out what other compiler flags you need, and let
you know
