Hey all. I just installed a SCSI tape drive on my Linux box. All I've done
at this point is connect the device to the box and boot up. dmesg reveals
the following messages regarding /dev/st0:

*snip*
Vendor: Seagate Model: STT8000N Rev: 3.22
    Type: Sequential-Access
Detected scsi tape st0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 4, lun 0
*snip*
Detected scsi tape st0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 4, lun 0
Unable to get major 9 for SCSI tapes

What does this message mean? Apparently I have something set up
incorrectly, but I don't have a clue as to where to begin looking. I've
searched the 'net, but haven't turned up anything yet. Thanks for any input
you guys may have on this. If you need more detailed info, I'll be glad to
provide it.
