I am running RH6.1 (same with RH 6.0), and on my current Pentium Celeron
machine, I can not compile most programs.
Same installation (step-by-step, i.e Everything) on my AMD 5x86-133, and
everything compiles perfectly.

The ./configure program for Apache, for instance, says "sanity check"
and will then halt, and says that the compiler is probably not ANSI
compliant, and that the output from the compiler (and there is none)
would give some clues.

I am now so discontended with the system, that I compile all on the
other machine, and copy the everything across, but more complex builds
are not possible.

Could it be there are compiler or configure bugs, related to certain
CPUs??? It sounds crazy, but I have no other explaination...
