Did you edit /etc/lilo.conf and make a new entry for the new kernel
AND rerun lilo.????
You need to do that everytime you install a new kernel, and ALWAYS
either make a backup of the old one or just leave it as is, and name
the new kernel something else, lilo supports up to 19 different
entries, or thats the limit on lilo -V 21
