Out of nowhere i'm not able to log in. I first noticed when trying to su
to a different user. As a normal user, trying to su - root i get
"su: incorrect password" with out a prompt for password at all. Trying to
su to a normal user from root, i get "could not open session".

I can ssh to it from another computer on my lan just fine (as root or a
normal user) but can't su to a different user.

Any ideas of what would cause this, or how to address it? I reinstalled
the base packages of suse 6.2 from ftp.suse.com with no success.

I rebooted the machine and now can't get past the login prompt, anything i
type gets an automatic "Login incorrect"

Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated!
