Hmm I have seen several computers that Simply having a winmodem in the
machine has caused problems. Just FYI that is indeed a winmodem.
I'm sorry I guess my sugestion wasn' t realy relevant is it necesary for you
to use PAP My ISP will work with pap but also give me a login prompt as soon
as I log in. this may be a better bet for you if this is available. if you
can Please post the contents of your ppp-on and ppp-on-dialer script Please
omit ony passwords and replace with *****
also is there a setup page for your ISP that We can look at and see what
their specifications are? Have you sucessfully conected to this ISP whrough
windows? did you need to do something in the terminal window first? What
kind of Modem is the External one?
